Another charity that cares for children's interests,
and which Jerome is a Patron of, is 'Rise Phoenix'. This is an organisation that
enables professional artists and performers to work creatively with children and
young people in London and abroad, through a variety of arts projects.
They particularly aim to assist children who have been
disadvantaged through conflict, war or other hostile circumstances. They take
their mandate from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
(1989), which recognizes 'the right of the child to rest and leisure, to engage
in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to
participate freely in cultural life and the arts.'
