Following the success of Soldier,
Soldier, Jerome again teamed up with Robson Green for Ain't Misbehavin - a musical
comedy drama set in the 1940 Blitz of wartime London.
The
hit drama, London's Burning, began in 1988, but two years prior to the series,
Jack Rosenthal produced a film called London's Burning The Movie. It was a huge
hit with the public.
The
big music break came, ultimately, with his Soldier, Soldier where an episode of
the show had involved their characters singing Unchained Melody. Many fans of
Soldier Soldier had bombarded the television studio asking if the song would be
released as a single.
One
of the most famous roles for Jerome was in 1990 in the hit TV show Soldier, Soldier.
It was this series that brought him together with Robson Green - a partnership
that eventually led to the show's most recognisable double-act.
John
Fisher's play provided an insight into the working life of Britain's most famous
magician Tommy Cooper. Jerome took up the challenge of stepping into the comedy
magician's size 13 shoes. One of the nation's most beloved natural clown's is
brought vividly to life in this celebration of the great Tommy Cooper.
